Tudor French Hood Top View
The beads on the outside edge of the coronet are common and can be found at most craft stores. If you were wondering where I got the idea to use such beads look on pg. 340 of Herbert Norris' book "Tudor Costume and Fashion". The gold and pearl medallions were glued on. They are inexpensive clip-on earrings with the clip part cut off. The small pearls around the head band are fixed, strung pearls that were couched on with gold metallic thread. The larger pearls and brass beads were strung and then couched to the bottom edge of the coronet. The two rows of "Europa" trim were glued on.
