Silk Organza Partlet

The photo below shows the partlet with the collar closed. This is a very easy way to achieve the high neck look so popular in Elizabethan times. The collar is flexible and cool. Silk organza is easy to care for, just hand wash and press no starch necessary. None of the gathers are sewn in so, when the draw strings are open the collar lays flat for pressing. As shown in this photo the partlet goes over the corset which is over the square necked chemise (left). The base of the partlet has a casing with a drawstring that ties over the corset and can be adjusted so that there is an inverted "V" opening in the center front (right). The gown goes over all (right). Many thanks to my model Sara Decker.
