Short-crowned Brimless Hat

This style of hat was popular in the French and Italian court in the late 1500's. It resembles the Pill Box hats popular in the 1960's. But is worn far back on the head with the hair tucked inside. This hat was made to wear with the cream gown shown on my site. It was made to match the foreskirt. It could be worn with or without a veil.
